Park in the car park at the top of Marche aux Boeufs beach.
(S/E) Take the track that leaves to the left of the beach access ramp. It winds its way between the caravan sites before coming out onto the moorland that tops the cliffs. Take the path that leaves to the left, just before the barrier that gives access to the moorland. Sheltered behind a hedge of thorns, it joins the Chemin des Crabes Verts.
(1) Turn left when you reach it and follow this path until you reach Route de la Grande Isle.
Turn right when you reach the road and continue straight on after crossing the RD282, the road that leads to the point.
(2) Turn left into the village of Keravelo and continue along the cul-de-sac that passes between the old houses just after the first left turn. A path extends from here and leads back to a small road.
At the end, turn right and follow this road until you reach the shore.
(3) Walk along the shore to the left, taking the track on the dyke, then climb up to the left onto the small cliff, following the coastal path. Continue until you descend to sea level, at the old Kermalinge farm. Continue along the path on the dune until you reach a small stream that feeds the Torte marshes, which stretch out on either side.
(4) Turn back until you find the path that comes from Kermalinge and, if the tide allows, return along the sea at the foot of the cliffs. Otherwise, take the same path you came on to return to the slipway that extends the Bas Village path. Leave the seafront and walk up this street for about 50 metres.
(3) Turn left onto the coastal path that runs between two hedges. Further on, it runs alongside a campsite before rejoining the coast.
(5) To reach Pointe Noire (a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Pen Bé and Rostu), turn left, then retrace your steps and continue along the coast. On the way, you will probably see a herd of small Highland cows grazing on the site.
(6) Turn left to go around Pen Bé cove. There is a short pavement on the other side of the low wall alongside the road, allowing you to get away from the traffic. Cross the oyster farming equipment parking area and walk up the road until you pass the first house on the left. Turn left onto the path that goes around the Marine bar and walk behind it. Turn left at the next crossroads and follow the small road that goes around the point.
The few beautiful houses on the point enjoy exceptional views of both the bay and the ocean.
After passing the furthest point, follow the coastal road up along the cliffs. A few steps lead down to the coves below, where you can take a dip if the tide is right. Continue along the top of the cliffs until you pass the last houses. The road is then blocked by a barrier, which you can get past by going around it. A sandy path continues the route through the moorland that covers this entire part of the headland. You can follow it to the end of the path, which winds its way between gorse and heather. This moorland was restored a few years ago and is now maintained by sheep. Please make sure you close the various gates you pass through.
(7) Once you reach the point, you will have a magnificent view of Pont Mahé Bay, which stretches between Pen Bé and Pointe du Bile, just opposite. Retrace your steps until you find a path that branches off to the left into the moorland and the gate that leads out of it. This is the first gate you came to at the start of the walk, where you turned left. Turn left again onto the path between the allotments to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
