On either side of the Beuve Valley, the Bazadais region is cut by numerous steep-sided valleys. The woods form a jigsaw puzzle with the cultivated fields and meadows brought to life by herds of cows, horses and sheep. This beautiful walk will take you along the small roads and forest paths of the Bazadais region.
Circular route between Bruch and Montesquieu
Route through the hills of the Buzet vineyards between Bruch and Montesquieu.
Short circular loop around Puymasson
This short walk, marked in yellow, follows the Saint-Médard / Puymasson walking trail. It offers a beautiful view of the Garonne valley at the start, takes you through a lovely forest, past a point of interest (a memorial to a plane crash) and along very quiet paths. Suitable for young children.
Circular walk from the Mauret wash house to Savignac-de-Duras
An easy, circular walk of about an hour, perfect for families, around the small village of Savignac-de-Duras, amidst vineyards and plum orchards. You’re likely to spot a few deer along the walk.
Montesquieu towards the woods
Starting from the Montesquieu playground, this route takes you through the woods of Micoulet, Bertrand and Saint-Martin along largely shaded paths and tracks with very little road. The route is suitable for warm weather.
Around Soumensac
A beautiful hike starting from the pretty village of Soumensac. From the car park, you will have a magnificent view of the typical Lot-et-Garonne countryside. You will cross the plain, undergrowth and vineyards. The view of the village of Soumensac from above on the way back is a feast for the eyes.
Tour of Lake Escourou
Near the magnificent Bastide d'Eymet, enjoy a family walk along Lac de l'Escourou, where you can observe the region's flora and fauna. The small lake is equipped for bird watching. Children can answer the short quizzes scattered along the route.

A short hike along Lake Escourou before climbing up into the vineyards with magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding countryside.
