You will pass through several wooded areas and numerous fields, where it is not uncommon to see farm animals and crops in bloom. Renowned for the quality of its skies, Latrape is the perfect place to observe the beauty of the stars and sunsets. If you would like to learn more about astronomy, Le Balcon des Étoiles is located at the start/end of the loop.

The Lacaugne circular hike is a family hike suitable for children aged four and above. Recharge your batteries in Volvestre, surrounded by countryside and views of the Pyrenees.
Please note: the route is still marked and exists, but you have to pass under 1-metre-high agricultural wires between (2) and (3). This problem is currently being resolved.
The hills above Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze and Montgazin
This walk takes place on the western slopes of Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze, offering lovely views of the surrounding countryside to the south, west and east, as well as a view of the Pyrenees mountain range.
It will allow you to explore the administrative area of this historic market town, dating from the 12th century, listed by Bâtiments de France, which is particularly well-preserved, and its main buildings.
Countryside around Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze
Walk in the hills of the historic village of Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze from its centre.In good weather, there are beautiful views of the Lèze valley and, on a clear day, a view of the Pyrenees mountain range where you can see Mont Valier (Ariège) and the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (Hautes-Pyrénées, 150 km away).
