Description of the walk

From St-Sulpice-sur-Lèze, take the D4 towards Lézat-sur-Lèze. Drive through the village. Continue straight ahead at the roundabout, then turn right at the next junction onto the D25e. Parking is available in the car park of the Massabrac town hall.

Yellow markings

(S/E) Leave the town hall car park, turn left then right onto the D25e. After about 100 metres, you will reach the junction with Rue du Village.

(1) Leave the street on your left, as this is the way back. Go straight up the D25e to the church, leave the Impasse de l'Église and continue on the D25e for a few dozen metres to find the Impasse du Cimetière.

(2) Take the dirt track that veers left from the entrance to the cul-de-sac. It runs through the middle of a field. When you reach the road, turn left and pass in front of Thomas's cross. Stay on the road and continue straight ahead. Pass the sign indicating the direction of Carrère, continue for about 150 metres until you find a passage and a grassy path in a field on the left (marked by a ditch).

(3) Continue along this path, which passes between the trees, then join the bend in a wide farm track.

(4) Ignore this path and continue left, heading north, to return to the crossroads you passed on the way out.

(1) Turn right and return to the town hall and car park (S/E).

Contrary to what the description says, the shaded part is very short; most of the walk is in the blazing sun and on tarmac. Not to be done in summer! (nor after rain, as some sections are muddy)
Furthermore, there are no markings in critical areas, so be sure to download the map and directions before setting off.
Other than that, it's a very pleasant walk when the weather is good, with very few people and beautiful views.
