Le Serre du Gouvernement at Pouzin
This is a very pleasant walk that quickly takes you to the Grads plateau, which overlooks Pouzin and the confluence of the Ouvèze and Rhône rivers. The path overlooking the Ouvèze valley is very pleasant but may be vertiginous for some. The ridges offer a beautiful panoramic view of the Baronnies and the Vercors.
Never stray from the route, which is now very well marked.
Le Vieux Rompon and the balconies of the Ouvèze
Discover the ruins of the Couvent des Chèvres overlooking the Rhône valley and then the hamlet of Vieux Rompon. The return trail is a pleasant walk along the cliffs above the Ouvèze with magnificent views.
Tour of the Lérou plateau
This hike around the Lérou plateau will enchant you with its diverse views. This route will allow you to discover various geological phenomena: basalt blocks, basalt veins, etc.
Gournier Waterfall and Rochessauve Castle in Alissas
A magnificent circular walk from Alissas with a detour to the Gournier waterfall and a view of the Château de Rochessauve.
Le Couvent des Chèvres via Vieux Rompon

This hike will take you on a journey of discovery through holm oaks, downy oaks, Scots pines and maples, as well as many species introduced into the Barrès Forest, such as black pines, Atlas cedars, Mediterranean firs and Douglas firs.
The Serre de l'Église and the Grottes de la Jaubernie
Apart from the distance, this is an easy hike on good trails through typical Ardèche landscapes. At the summit, there are beautiful views of the Rhône and Ouvèze valleys and, at the end of the walk, you can discover the famous Jaubernie caves, which served as troglodyte dwellings for Protestants driven out of Privas during the Wars of Religion.

Depart from the cemetery car park to continue the route. Return along the same route as on the way there, as the path is now blocked.
I hope to return in the summer of 2024 to improve this old route.

In the heart of the Ardèche countryside, a route taking in the Serre de Gruas, the small village of Chambon-de-Bavas and the ruins of the Saint-Quintin farm. Panoramic views of the Drôme valley, the Trois Becs and the Vercors, and on the other side, the Monts d'Ardèche park.
The hike can be shortened to 14/15 kilometres.

Ile de Printegarde - From the Confluence to Les Ramières
From the impetuosity of the great river to the wisdom of its branches, this route along the water's edge will allow you to discover a fauna rich in sounds and colours.
On the hillsides of La Voulte-sur-Rhône and the Col des Viaux
This hike will take you to the heights of La Voulte-sur-Rhône, an Ardèche village located at the intersection of three valleys: Rhône, Eyrieux and Ouvèze, with its hilltop church and castle. This route is not difficult, with an uphill section at the beginning and a downhill section at the end of the walk. The ridges offer beautiful views, particularly of the Trois Becs, the Vercors and the Rhône.The return journey is mainly on small, quiet tarmac roads, which makes the descent easy but may discourage some hikers.
Around La Voulte-sur-Rhône
La Voulte-sur-Rhône, a town of around 5,000 inhabitants located in Ardèche on the banks of the Rhône, gateway to the Eyrieux valley, has listed historical remains, including the castle, the Chapelle des Princes, the Fontaine Giroud, and the foundry site with four blast furnaces.Architectural assets include the first prestressed concrete railway viaduct built in France. The suspension bridge spanning the Rhône connects to Livron.Here you are at the crossroads of two greenways, the Via Rhôna and the Dolce Via.
A circular around Pranles
A lovely, easy hike that will allow you to discover Pranles' three remarkable sites (in season): the Moulin de Mandy, the Romanesque church and the Protestant Museum. It can be done with children aged around ten, provided they are fit enough to cover the distance. There are also beautiful views of the knolls and volcanoes and, further away, the Alps (in good weather).
Forests and hamlets of the Eyrieux Valley
A beautiful loop in the hills above the Eyrieux Valley, where you can discover charming little hamlets and isolated houses in the purest Ardèche style.
Circular from Les Ollières-sur-Eyrieux to Conjols
This circular loop above the Eyrieux leads to the pretty hamlet of Conjols and offers beautiful views of the Eyrieux Valley. Due to some steeper and stony sections before Conjols, this short walk has been rated as moderately difficult. The return journey is along beautiful paths and then the Voie Verte cycle path along the Eyrieux.
Circular route above Les Ollières-sur-Eyrieux
This short route allows you to appreciate a different side of this area through the orchards as you gently climb above the Eyrieux valley. It continues through distinctly Mediterranean vegetation before winding its way down through a majestic forest where deciduous trees, thorny bushes and boxwood grow side by side.
From the Via Rhôna to the gates of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park.
This route will take you along the entire length of the Payre cycle path, which starts in Pouzin and ends in Privas, the gateway to the Monts d'Ardèche Natural Park. The route starts from the car park in the small village of Les Petits Robins, near the Rhône. You will cycle part of the way along the Via Rhôna to Le Pouzin, which you will cross, before rejoining the La Peyre cycle path on the outskirts of the village.
The Ruas Rock
An exceptional view of Condillac Castle at the start, and very quickly the slope becomes steeper! The view will reward your efforts once you have climbed the Rocher de Ruas.
Trails and Belvédère de l'Eyrieux
The start of the route is flat on the Dolce Via, then climbs up paths and tracks through old terraced farms above the Eyrieux Valley. On the way, there is a short tarmac detour to the Belvédère de l'Eyrieux to enjoy the superb view.
After passing two well-restored hamlets, a pleasant descent takes you to a beautiful little waterfall before returning to Moulinon.
