Saint-Georges-de-Pointindoux walks
The Gilardière Trail
A pleasant, largely shaded path, with less than 10 per cent tarmac; a route with very little elevation gain, following sunken paths, sections along the banks of the Auzance (area developed in 2021), and also a section of the local council path opened in 2022 after 40 years of being overgrown with brambles (along the pond)!
Suitable for families with pushchairs (except for two damp sections in winter).
Around Les Essais and Saint-Georges-de-Pointindoux
A pleasant and varied route with virtually no elevation gain. After a quick stop at the Saint-Georges wash house, you will appreciate the calm of the lake (Le Bibrou). You will then discover some well-maintained paths in the heart of La Mothe-Achard, which are often overlooked. The Auzance, the Château du Plessis, a remarkable oak tree that competed in a national competition for the most beautiful oak trees in 2020, etc., are just some of the surprises that we hope will delight you.
Le Chemin de l'Écureuil in Landeronde
This hike is best done in dry weather, as the trail becomes muddy in the forest area in winter. This route takes you along a sunken path, alternating between open and wooded areas, making for a pleasant hike. The different biotopes encountered promote a rich biodiversity, and it is not uncommon to see squirrels darting about, the entrance to a woodpecker's nest, deer and wild boar tracks, and hear the song of chickadees.
Tinouze trail in Les Clouzeaux
A short but surprising route that takes you to the small valley of La Tinouze, a green corridor teeming with biodiversity. There are numerous educational panels dotted around La Tinouze, so keep your eyes peeled.

Path through the planted field in Venansault
Path starting from the Îlot des Arts. The route is largely shaded. You will follow a path that seems timeless; the origins of this route are certainly very ancient. A special feature of this route is the tranquillity and the feeling of being in a wild place amidst areas shaped by human activity.
The Tour du Lac du Jaunay
A beautiful hike around Lac du Jaunay, an unmissable destination in the Pays des Achards. It is a preserved and protected natural area covering 114 hectares.
The starting point is at La Baudrière. The route runs along both banks and crosses the dam next to the water plant near La Savarière.

Le Jaunay - Saint-Julien-des-Landes - Martinet starting from Coëx
A walk through the countryside south and east of Coëx towards Saint-Julien-des-Landes and Martinet. Of particular interest is the path leading from the Garaud chapel to the D6. There are a few muddy sections from autumn to spring, particularly on this path.
Chemins des Pâtis
In the middle of the Pâtis, a hike that can be done in all seasons.
The name of this hike came from my imagination as I took the "grand Pâtis" path, which is outside the route. The routes are created by hikers.
A pâtis is an uncultivated meadow or cattle pasture.

The Aubigny Botanical Trail
A short, easy walk of about an hour on the outskirts of Aubigny.
In addition to its botanical interest, with some remarkable species, the fauna is not to be outdone. You may encounter a deer as surprised as you are by this encounter, a cuckoo, a bird of prey or even a chorus of toads. On the historical side, there is a small stone fountain, once the water source for the village of Mortevieille.
Aubigny Botanical Trail
A circular walk through the bocage countryside with hidden biodiversity along the way, so keep your eyes peeled for the early purple orchid, the greater asphodel and numerous pollarded trees. The walk is described starting from the “Église” bus stop, but the route begins at the car park of the Aubigny sports complex.
Walk around Lake Gué Gorand
Far from the hustle and bustle of the seaside, the peaceful Lac du Gué Gorand is perfect for a lovely stroll along the water's edge. The dam, which was filled in 1990, is used to irrigate 400 hectares of farmland and the Fontenelles golf course.
