The Paon du Jour trail in Venansault

Departure from the Guyon leisure centre car park. Accessible by bus line 11 from La Roche sur Yon.

(S/E) Turn right, follow the path that goes around the first two ponds on the right (red markings) and arrive near the third.

(1) Turn right, cross this part of the park and follow the Route des Clouzeaux (D4) on the left until you reach a residential area.

(2) Turn left, go around this residential area along the housing estates and come out onto a street. Turn left, cross a stream and arrive at the water treatment plant.

(3) Walk along the left side of the treatment plant, then turn left and return to the ponds in the recreation area

(4) Go around the^third pond on the left and return to the initial fork.

(1) Turn right.

(4) Turn left and walk along the two ponds on the right until you reach the car park along the Ornay River

(S/E) From the car park, cross the Ornay footbridge and walk along the left side of the Îlôt des Arts until you reach Rue Saint-André.

(5) Cross the street and turn left to cross the Ornay footbridge. Walk along the École Primaire Louis Chaigne primary school, cross the street and turn left to cross the river via the bridge.

(6) Turn right along the river, then cross it and continue to Route de Mouilleron. Walk along it on the left and turn left, pass Le Guyon and arrive at a crossroads.

(7) Turn left and continue to Rue Florence Arthaud.

(8) Turn left towards the river and head for the École Maternelle Publique le Sableau nursery school.

(9) Pass between the nursery school and the primary school and join the path along the Ornay.

(6) Follow the path opposite, in the opposite direction, along the second loop to return to the car park (S/E).
