Vallanta Mountain Hut - Sella Quintino Mountain Hut

(S) On leaving the refuge, follow the Via Alpina trail which descends southwards.

(1) At the junction with the Mont Viso circuit path, which descends to the right, continue in the same direction.

(2) At the fork, continue straight on along the Mont Viso circuit trail.

(3) Pass Grange Soubeyran on your right and continue to Grange Del Rio.

(4) Pass Grange Del Rio on the left, then Grange Soulières, and continue downhill to a track that joins the path. Take the path on the left just past Grange Gheit.

(5) From the barn, take the path that climbs gently eastwards to the junction with a path coming from the south.

(6) At Pian Meyer, head up to the left towards the north-east until you reach a fork.

(7) Take the left-hand fork until you reach another junction with a path coming from the south.

(8) Continue along the path northwards to Lake Mont Viso, which you should follow. Continue along the path until you reach the refuge (E).
