The Four Fountains

A hike in the forest of Celles-sur-Plaine, from Pain de Sucre to Roche du Coquin. Discover an observatory built and used by the Germans from 1915 onwards to alert the anti-aircraft defences along the route, knowing that the French air force was entering Alsace via the Col du Donon.

The Celtic Camp at La Bure

A circular hike near Saint-Dié to discover the Celtic camp of La Bure, a Gallic and Gallo-Roman fortified site listed as a historic monument.
It is located on a vast rocky promontory, offering a magnificent view of the Meurthe valley. A discovery trail has been created, punctuated by around fifteen information panels.
Les Roches d'Ormont - Les Molières waterfall

A beautiful circular route near Saint-Dié, featuring the many remarkable rocks of the Ormont massif, with viewing points offering beautiful views of Saint-Dié.
You will also discover part of the "Sentier du Capitaine Bonnefoy" trail with some remains from the First World War. Return via the bucolic site of the Molières waterfall.
Salm Castle, La Chatte Pendue and the Maxe peat bog

A circular walk mainly through forest. Starting from the enchanting setting of the Étang du Coucou, you will discover the ruins of the Château de Salm, currently undergoing restoration. You will then climb up to the promontory of the Chatte Pendue with its orientation table, make a short stop at the Monument des Passeurs, and then follow a slightly wilder path to the Tourbière de la Maxe.

Le Grand Rougimont-Chte Turquestein-Roche aux fées

A magnificent hike, with no major difficulties apart from access to the Grand Rougimont - the ruins of Turquestein Castle - the fairy rock and the boundary stone trail, which will take you back to the Middle Ages.

The Donon Forts

A hike along the Donon fortified positions trail. From September 1914, the Vosges front stabilised on the ridges and the Donon became a defensive position of prime importance. In 1915, the Germans embarked on a colossal construction project.

The large lock at Réchicourt

This circuit will introduce you to an industrial and urban area of Lorraine that has been recognised as a historic monument and protected heritage site since 2014.
You will also follow the Marne-Rhine Canal and six of its former locks, now replaced by a single lock known as "la grande écluse" (the big lock).

The Circuit des Fourmis is the ideal place for a family walk. This short trail is dotted with ant sculptures, which explain its name, and information panels. The trail is marked with ant symbols.

This hike with little elevation gain allows you to discover the villages of Girecourt-sur-Durbion, Gugnécourt and Méménil. This circuit, mostly on roads, is ideal on a beautiful spring or autumn day.
