Start at the Aire du Paradis, located on the Paradis forest road between Dijon and Robache (north-east of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges)
(S/E) From the Aire du Paradis (509m), pass in front of the kiosk, then follow the green rectangle markings towards Roche des Fées / Roche du Sapin Sec, along a forest path that climbs uphill.
(1) At a three-way junction, follow the path on the left, marked with a green-white-green sign, towards Roche du Chapeau (ignore the direct climb to Roche des Fées on the right).
Follow this path to a water catchment.
(2) Turn right onto a path for a fairly steep climb.
When you reach the Fontaine du Chapeau, the trail continues to the left and leads to a forest path.
Take this path on the left for 250 m, then take a path on the right that climbs uphill, marked with a yellow cross (+) sign for Roche du Chapeau.
(3) Further on, ignore the direct climb to the Roche des Fées and turn left, following the green cross signs for Roche du Chapeau.
The path passes under the rock, then turns completely to the right to come out above it (viewpoint with bench).
Continue along the trail, following the green cross signs towards Roche du Sapin Sec.
You will arrive at a forest path (801m) at a hairpin bend and take it to the right uphill.
(4) At the next intersection called Grand tournant des Chapeaux, ignore the three paths in front of you and take the first path on the right towards Paradis via the Grand Lançoir (sign slightly hidden).
Continue downhill, ignore the first path on the left, and continue downhill until you find the path marked with a green rectangle, which quickly leads to the Roche des Fées (a viewpoint built on the rock with a metal ladder, offering a beautiful view of Saint-Dié).
Continue on the left, following the green rectangle signs towards Roche du Sapin Sec, which you will follow all the way.
When you reach a crossroads (824 m) called Col des Cailloux, go straight ahead.
When you reach the Carrefour du Relais, cross the forest path and continue straight ahead, passing a building with relay antennas.
Pass La Roche des Cailloux (beautiful viewpoint).
Pass under the Roche du Hoff (982m).
(5) When you reach Col du Sapin Sec, with a large shelter, continue straight ahead to Roche du Sapin Sec (899m), which has an orientation table (360° view).
Continue to the next crossroads called Tête du Chariot (888m), (or Col du Chariot on the map).
(6) Continue left along a path, initially unmarked, then follow the red signpost (x) and logo with a war helmet. Follow this themed trail about the 1914-18 war, with some remains and information panels.
Pass La Roche du Chariot, then begin a fairly steep descent (Sentier des Mulets).
(7) (791m) Arrive at a forest path (near the Tournant des Chariots) and continue straight ahead, heading west on a downhill path. Pass a wet area.
(8) (682m) When you reach another forest path, turn left for a few metres (near the Tournant des Feuillets) and before the bend, take the path on the right downhill towards the Carrefour du Hêtre.
(9) At Carrefour du Hêtre, turn left, following the red triangle signs towards Molières.
(10) (543m) When you reach a road (Chemin de Bellevue), turn right until you reach Carrefour d'Hortimont, then follow the road downhill to the left, following the green rectangle signs towards Molières.
Pass the old forest house, (504m) take a path on the left along a stream for 200m, following the yellow-white-yellow rectangle signs towards Cascade des Molières.
(11) You will arrive at a kiosk with a small waterfall flowing from a flat rock behind it.
Cross the forest path and take the path opposite, marked with a yellow-white-yellow rectangle sign for Le Paradis, which you will follow without stopping.
(12) The path passes La Goutte du Rupt. Continue following the same signs until you reach the Aire du Paradis (S/E).
