(S/E) With your back to the church and the school, set off along the path that joins the access road to Guernévez. Turn left onto a wide, south-facing path and continue to a crossroads.
(1) Turn right and follow the path which forms a circular route through the fields. You’ll reach the Croix de Kergaro, dating from the Middle Ages.
(2) Turn left onto the short stretch of road that ends at Kergaro Farm and continue along the path that follows on from it. Pass under a power line and rejoin the tarmac road near the hamlet of Kerudalar. Cross a small road, first turning right then left, and continue along a new path between houses.
At the three-way junction, turn left, go round Kerudalar Bras and join a road which you follow to the right until it ends.
(3) Continue along the path through the meadows until you reach a track near a car park. Carry on to the left, heading north-west along the edge of the sphagnum bog, until you reach a crossroads.
(4) Turn right and walk alongside the peat bog. On the right, an interpretive route with a boardwalk allows you to access the interior of the former peat bog and learn about the biodiversity, evolution and formation of moors and peat bogs.
Continue along the peat bog until you reach the information shelter.
(5) Turn right and cross one of the streams that form the headwaters of the Aber-Wrac’h via a small wooden bridge. Turn left, then, a little further on, turn sharply right to follow one of the streams, which you will leave on your left.
(6) Turn right onto the ballast of the old Landerneau–Brignogan-Plages railway line, which opened in 1894 and closed in 1946. Walk past the peat extraction pits dating from the 1939–1945 war on your left. Continue along this track between the fields until you reach the crossroads at a place called Kervalquez. Note the old railway building.
(7) Turn left twice to enter the Fontaine Saint-Jean housing estate, then turn right to cross it via a pedestrian crossing. At the road, turn left towards the nearby Fontaine Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
(8) Turn round, then head left into the Venelle des Enclos, entering the grounds of the town hall and the community centre (former presbytery). On leaving, turn left to enter the church grounds with its calvary and old ossuary. Admire the porch and the bell tower. Go down several steps to reach the Place de l’École (S/E).
