Description of the walk

Park at Place Saint-Yves near the Auguste Le Breton Library.

(S/E) Go around the library and walk along the cemetery surrounding Saint-Yves Church with its slender bell tower with three galleries. Turn left to pass between the town hall and the Salle Brocéliande. Note the old town hall, a stone house with an apotheiz (semicircular projection) topped with a stork, commemorating the twinning of Poudaniel with Fréland in Alsace. Continue along a tree-lined pedestrian path.

(1) At the end (large rocks), turn left into the passageway behind the Maison Familiale Rurale and join the main street, Rue du Général de Gaulle, at the bus stop. Cross over to the right-hand pavement and follow this street. Ignore the street on the right, Rue du Stade, and continue
until you reach the first street on the right (cemetery on the left). Turn right and pass a small square on the left.

(2) Turn left at the sign for Manoir de Trébodennic and continue to the entrance to the woods surrounding the manor house, which pedestrians are allowed to enter. Continue forward and make a short return trip to the entrance gate (information sign). With your back to the manor house, set off again along a path at the edge of the woods. Immediately on your right, in the vegetation, you will see a low stone wall surrounding a wash house and a fountain located below (accessible). Continue along the path between a residential area on your left and a stream on your right. This small stream flows into the sea at the largest of the three abers on the north coast, the Aber-Wrac'h. You will come out onto the main road at a barrier.

(3) Cross carefully at the pedestrian crossing and follow the path on the right along the edge of a grassy area. Ignore the first path on the left and take the next one, which goes around a pond. Cross the stream, pass by a children's playground, come out into a housing estate and walk up the street. At the cross street, opposite a future housing development (2023), turn left to return to the starting car park (S/E).
