A less popular summit than the Grand Veymont, offering a bit of variety across these high plateaus of the Vercors. Breathtaking views, particularly of Mont Aiguille, which dominates the entire start of the hike and part of the return journey.Marmots, ibex and chough will be there to greet you after the climb up the Pas du Fouillet.
Dogs are strictly prohibited on this walk as it is situated within the Vercors High Plateaus Nature Reserve.

Departure from Saint-Agnan-en-Vercors (Drôme)
Ascent and descent of the highest point in the Vercors, via an off-trail route that is steep and wild. A beautiful hike, largely off unmarked trails, over steep to very steep slopes. You’ll need sure-footedness and a head for heights. A great way to escape the crowds and spot ibex.
Caution: steep off-trail ascent, scree. A short climbing section. The descent is even steeper and very exposed: falling is not an option.

Chichilianne is a treasure trove of hikes towards the Vercors plateau. Once finished, some people take the train which stops at Clelles. But few hikers know that you can set off from Chichilianne or La Richardière and reach Clelles station in under two hours, walking alongside an irrigation canal for nearly three kilometres. This return walk to Clelles can also be taken in the opposite direction when you start your journey.
