Good evening
First of all, thank you for the description of the hike.
I’d really like to go on this little trip over the Ascension long weekend. Do you think there’ll still be plenty of snow at that time of year?
Kind regards

To round off the five-day hike, I took a detour via the Col de Rousset (which is stunning), then headed back down towards Die via Les Gravelles, which are also well worth a visit. Thanks for this route!

A hike in the clouds, but still enjoyable – the most interesting section of the GR91 traverse. We walked from La Jasse du Play to the Chatillon hut because we wanted to be in Chatillon early on Monday morning. This makes for a ‘difficult’ stage that’s just as long as Stage 3 (9–10 hours’ walking). Not necessarily recommended.

Hello,

This hike looks nice, but I can only find the itinerary for the fifth day.
Do you have the full 5-day route?

Kind regards

Hello Aurélie G, as mentioned above, this hike is part of a 5-day trek across the Vercors. I wrote this guide and, having planned the route a year in advance, I’m well aware of the pitfalls to avoid if you’re planning to do the full 5 days. However, if you just want to do a two-day round trip, such as Chatillon-en-Dois to the Cabane du Pré Peyret and back to Chatillon-en-Dois, I’d advise you not to carry too much, as the climb in that direction is very tough. Otherwise, there are plenty of other hikes you can do in the area. That’s it – if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Enjoy your hike.

Hello Aurélie,
I recommend you take a look at the downloadable IGN map and its description. Once you’ve read it, you’ll see that only part of the hike is in mountainous terrain and that it’s a stage on a 5-day route. The descent is approximately 1,800 metres, starting from the Pré Peyret hut and heading down to Chatillon en Diois.
I don’t know your skills, level or fitness, but you’ll need to let us know if you want to do the whole route or just a return trip.
Enjoy yourselves, but please, don’t come back disappointed because you weren’t properly prepared for this hike.

Hello everyone! We’re three young people aged between 19 and 21, ready to set off on this hike. Just one quick question: do you know where the refreshment stops are, or at least the major towns we’ll be passing through?
Thanks for your help and happy hiking!!
