Palassy Pass
Walk on the Courry plateau, overlooking Séverac le Chateau. Panoramic view of the upper Aveyron valley, the Olip valley and the foothills of Lévezou.
At the source of the Viaur in Vézins de Lévézou
The Viaur rises at the foot of the Puech du Pal, at an altitude of 1,090 m. It is joined by numerous streams such as the Céor, the Vioulou and the Bage. It forms the boundary between the territories of the Palanges and the Lévézou Massif, as well as between the departments of Aveyron and Tarn, to the west of the department.
The great outdoors
Accompanied by the sound of water flowing from the Novis fountain, this gentle climb to La Devèze offers a 360° panorama of the Grands Causses, the blue line of the Cévennes and the Languedoc mountains
The drinking troughs of Novis, a village of character, and the vaulted fountain of Argeliès, where water flows as it did in the days of the washerwomen, are the two focal points of this family outing on the Causse de Sauveterre. On the crest of the Devèze de Novis, an orientation table guides you through the breathtaking parade of landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see
La Devèze starting from Massegros
A short walk above Massegros among boxwood, juniper and Scots pine trees, with a beautiful panorama of the western part of the Causse de Sauveterre, the Monts du Lévézou and the foothills of the Aubrac.
Chemin des Faysses
A short walk in the forest, with a few viewpoints over the Aveyron valley and the Aubrac plateaus, and even the Plomb du Cantal on a clear day. The yellow markings on the walking and hiking trails will help you follow this route easily.
Pierrefiche - Sainte-Eulalie-d'Olt
A delightful route for exploring Sainte-Eulalie-d'Olt and its surroundings. A very pleasant walk through the valley, which forms a circular route with a visit to Sainte-Eulalie halfway along the route.
Mont Seigne
The Haut Lévézou seen from the summit of Mont Seigne (1121m). You will have a 360° view of the Monts d'Aubrac, Mont Lozère, the Cévennes, the Causses, the Monts de l'Espinouse... To get there, take the district roads and dirt tracks used by farmers and foresters. At the summit, an orientation table will give you all the information you need on a 360° view.
Les Pessoles
A family hike that combines a bit of mountain climbing with a descent into a pleasant valley with a magnificent boralde
(large stream), from which the town draws its water. Note the passage over a bridge said to be Roman...
Le Barribès
Leave the bustling town centre behind and discover the cool, peaceful shade of the woods. Along the Barribès stream, tanneries were once set up: test your fitness with friends or family. A glimpse of the foothills of the Aubrac, to be avoided in case of rising water levels.
