Lac des Leschères and Montreuil-sur-Blaise Communal Forest

Parking: Lac des Leschères car park.

(S/E) Leave the car park and continue towards the campsite on the right.

(1) Ignore the path leading down to the right (the return route); continue straight on along a grassy path marked in green and yellow, and follow it alongside the forest until you reach the 185-metre mark.

(2) Turn right and continue along the path that enters the forest.

(3) Ignore a path on the right 100 m further on, which you will take later. For now, carry on straight ahead to reach the junction with a wider forest track: elevation 203.

(4) Turn left until you reach the junction with the white track opposite.

(5) Turn left onto a track at the edge of the village and follow it for about 1.3 km.

(6) Turn left and follow the track to reach the plain; turn left onto the track that continues along the edge of the woodland and return to the junction you passed on the way out.

(2) Continue left along the same route as on the way there for about 200 m.

(3) Turn right for 30 m, then right again and continue along this blue and yellow-marked path to reach a junction near the lake.

(7) Turn right onto a white path that goes round the lake to reach the junction at the start of the walk.

(1) Head left to retrace your steps along the route you took on the way there and return to the car park (S/E).
