The Bois des Ermites

Park at the foot of the Bailly-aux-Forges water tower.

(S/E) Take the road towards Laneuville-à-Rémy. After 150 m, at the entrance to the woods, turn right onto the farm track and follow it for 200 m until you reach the first intersection on the right.

(1) Turn onto this straight forest track and follow it for 500 m. Join a white track coming from the right. Continue straight ahead on this track until you reach the end.

(2) At the T-junction, turn left and follow this forest track for 1,500 m until it joins a new white forest track.

(3) Turn left onto this road and follow it to Laneuville-à-Rémy.

(4) Cross the village, leave it via the D182 towards Robert-Magny, and cross a stream.

(5) Shortly afterwards, almost at the top of the hill, turn left into the second section. Follow it to the end.

(6) First turn left then right and, at the next intersection, after a 90° left turn, take the road immediately on the right and follow it until you reach a carriageway. Turn left onto this road, which joins the D113 (Route de Sommevoire).

(7) Follow it to the left and turn left at the first junction. At the second junction, turn right, join the Route de La Neuville-à-Remy and follow it to the right for about 150 metres.

(8) Take the first turn on the right heading south-east to enter the forest. Follow it to a carriageway. Follow it to the left to reach a large white road.

(9) Follow this path to the left, which joins the D113. Turn right onto this road until you reach the entrance to Bailly-aux-Forges and the car park at the water tower (S/E).
