Park at the Sainte-Germaine Farm car park.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, follow the path at the top of the hill heading north.
(1) At the northern end of the viewpoint, after admiring the Aube Valley and the town of Bar-sur-Aube, follow the footpath to the right downhill towards the Fontaine Sainte-Germaine. Walk past the fountain and continue along this path, hugging the hillside, until you reach a small road.
(2) At the first houses in Fontaine, turn immediately right into Impasse Buffery and continue uphill to a T-junction.
(3) Turn left onto this path, then, at the next three-way junction, take the left-hand path until you reach a village street.
(4) Follow this street to the right, heading east for about 100 m, and at the next three-way junction, take the left-hand path, Rue des Courteaux, until you reach the junction with Rue de la Côte d'Aube.
(5) Turn right and follow it for about 300 m. At the next junction, turn right into Rue du Marchepied.
(6) Continue right along Rue Saint-Antoine until you reach a large square. Follow Rue Saint-Antoine, keeping to the left, until the next junction with a farm track
(7)Please note: there are two farm tracks; take the one on the right, which heads south-west. Follow this wide track to its end and continue along the path until you reach a three-way junction.
(8) Turn left and stay on this hillside track until the4th junction on the right.
(9) Turn right until the next junction.
(10) Turn right onto this new long-distance hiking trail, the GR®145, marked in red and white. Follow it to the access road to the Sainte-Germaine site and pass a wayside cross.
(11) Take the first path on the right, then the one on the left at the next junction, and continue to the Sainte-Germaine Chapel, the picnic area and the car park at the Sainte-Germaine Farm (S/E).
