We set off at 7.30 am from Callelongue and took 11.5 hours, including a 1-hour break during the day. Using the Visorando GPS app, I recorded 2,768 metres of elevation gain and 2,718 metres of elevation loss, which is significantly higher than stated in the description. We’ll set off from the pretty little harbour of Callelongue, walking along the coast before climbing up to the Plateau de l’Homme Mort via the Malvallon Médian and the Trois Arches. This is followed by the descent to the Vallon de la Jarre and the return journey by bus.
