Description of the walk

(S) Depart from the car park at the terminus of bus 19. Follow the road for about 50 m before crossing it to take a path that heads east-southeast on the left and is marked in black. After a moderate 500 m climb, you will arrive at a small plateau.

(1) Leave the main path and turn right, heading south-west, onto a path marked with black dots. After 400 m of climbing, you will join the GR® 51.

(2) From here, the markings will be double white-red and black. The well-marked path continues and winds around several valleys. You will pass a commemorative plaque for Antoine Pellicé (president of the Société des Excursionnistes Marseillais). You will arrive at the highest point of the hike, the Col du Brès (altitude 140 m).

(3) You begin to descend towards the Pas de la Garrigue. A bypass trail is marked with black dots. It branches off to the right and only adds about 300 m to the route. Both routes are marked on the map and meet at the foot of the Pas de la Garrigue, which, seen from below, is not at all terrifying.

(4) From there, continue downhill, skirting the Vallon de l'Agneau. You will come to a path marked in yellow and join a red trail marker. Follow the triple trail markers (white-red, black and red) for a while. You will come to another trail junction.

(5) Leave the red markings on your left and continue on the GR® trail, which descends into the Vallon de Callelongue. Pass close to some houses and go through a gate before arriving at the Callelongue huts.

(6) In the cove, there are three options:
- Return by the same route you came.
- Return to La Madrague by bus No. 20.
- Continue to Les Goudes by following the route marked on the map: Follow the road to the car park before the hairpin bend.

(7) Take the path on the left towards the ruins of Fortin Napoléon, pass Anse de la Maronaise and join the small road that leads to Port des Goudes. On the way, you can see the remains of the cable car (information panel at the fort).

(E) From Port des Goudes, take bus No. 20 to Madrague de Montredon, or, in season, take the boat to the Old Port via Pointe Rouge.
