Between Beauce and Perche from Cloyes-sur-le-Loir

Departure from the car park at Cloyes-sur-le-Loir Town Hall.

(S/E) From the car park, follow the D 35 to the right towards Vendôme, cross the Loir and continue straight on the D 8.

(1) Take Rue Saint-Michel on the left, which turns right then left, then take Chemin des Sources on the right. Follow the D 81 on the left for a few metres until you reach a small path on the right.

(2) Follow this path until you reach the hillside. Pass a road on your right, then take the Vieille Route on your left.

(3) Turn right onto Maigrière. At the end, cross the D 81, then take the path on the left which descends to a ford. Cross the ford and continue diagonally to the left until you reach La Durandière.

(4) Continue along the tarmac road, pass Ante Benoît and arrive at Chemin des Fosses.

(5) Take the path on the right and turn right towards La Houssaye. Cross the hamlet via the path on the left, then turn right, walking alongside the buildings on your right. Before leaving the hamlet, take a path on the left, then the road on the right, the D 23, for 100 metres.

(6) Take the path on the left that enters the Bois de Villasse. Before the exit, turn left and head for the Château de Romainville. Go around it on the left.

(7) Take the path opposite and continue straight ahead, then turn right and then left, leaving Le Boulay on your right. Go downhill and reach a fork just before La Petite Audrière.

(8) Turn left onto the path and cross over Le Torrent stream. Cross the D15 and take the small road opposite (D363) along the Bois du Jard.

(9) At the crossroads, turn right, then left onto the road to Montigny-le-Gannelon. Turn right to arrive opposite the château.

(10) At the castle entrance gate, turn left, then right twice and go down the stairs to the Loir. Walk along the Loir on the right until you reach the bridge.

(11) Cross the bridge over the Loir and continue to the next fork.

(12) Turn left onto the path that runs between the Loir and a lake. Continue left to go around the second lake.

(13) Before Grand Bois Gasnier, turn right and continue along the gravel path. Turn left at Les Tirelles and arrive at the D 35.

(14) Cross over and take the path that passes under the railway line, slightly to the left. Climb steeply, arrive at the hillside and turn right onto the path that runs along the hillside.

(15) Cross back over the railway line on the right and descend towards Cloyes. At the fork, take Rue du 8 Mai 1945 on the right. At the end, turn left, then right and head for the town hall car park (S/E).
