The châteaux around Lanneray

Parking is available near Lanneray Church in Saint-Denis-Lanneray.

(S/E) From the church, take the D111 and drive through the woods.

(1) At the crossroads, turn right onto the D23.1, then take the first track on the right.

(2) In Vilquier, follow the track to the right through the hamlet, running parallel to the D927. At the end of the track, continue along the road to the right, taking care.

(3) At the junction of the D927 and the D23, turn left, then, at the Fork in the road, turn right. Continue along this small road which runs alongside the woodland and leads to the Ferme de la Taille Sud.

(4) Cross the farm without straying from the path (private property). At the end of the path, take the road on the right.

(5) At the crossroads, cross the D927 with care and carry on straight ahead.

(6) Turn left onto the track which joins the D1113; follow this to the left as far as Château de la Touche-Hersant.

(7) Take the path on the right opposite the château and carry on straight ahead.

(8) After Beaulieu, turn right onto the D111.

(9) At the entrance to Le Caudray, turn left towards Sainte-Radegonde. Pass in front of the château, then, as you come out of the woods, turn left onto the D31.

(10) At the next junction, turn right onto the road which continues as a track after Crenne.

(11) Turn right onto the D3611. At the next junction, cross the D23 with care and enter the woods via the path opposite.

(12) At the fork in the path, turn left and carry on straight ahead. At the edge of the woods, take the path on the right running alongside a valley.

(13) Then take the D361.2 on the right and continue along this road, which passes through the Bois des Goislardières.

(14) At the junction, turn right onto the D31, then left after the bridge to reach Lanneray. At the entrance to the village, head back to the church (S/E) via the first street on the right.
