From Parc de la Bruneterie to Forêt de Marly circular route

Departure from Rue du Château Rouge in front of the south entrance to Parc de la Bruneterie in Orgeval. For access by train and bus, see the Practical Information section.

(S/E) Opposite the entrance to Parc de la Bruneterie, follow the^GR®1on the left along the dead-end road. At the crossroads, go downhill opposite. At the end of Chemin de la Juste-Pie, first turn right then left. Ignore Rue du Haut-Orgeval.

(1) At the crossroads, turn right into Rue de la Garenne.

(2) At the end, turn left. Ignore the path leading off to the right into the fields. Turn right at the road. After the green shed, follow the first path on the left.

(3) At the end of the path, turn right. Cross the road. Continue straight ahead to Croix Sainte-Geneviève. At the fork in the woods, keep left.

(4) Then follow the^GR®1to the left. After the stable, turn right and then left.

(5) Cross the bridge and stay on the tarmac. Ignore the private property. Walk past the church on your right, then turn left. Go straight ahead at the stop sign. Pass to the left of the town hall via Rue des Cavées. After the hill, turn right.

(6) Ignore all the turnings on the left and right until you reach the crossroads. Cross Rue de Poissy using the pedestrian crossing on the left. Follow Rue de la Chapelle towards Sainte-Gemme. Go straight ahead at the stop sign. Pass the chapel.

(7) Continue straight ahead, passing to the left of the roundabout. After Rue du Bout du Monde on the right, turn left. Pass the cul-de-sac. Keep right at the fork. Ignore the street on the left.

(8) At the dead end, make a first turn right then left. At the crossroads, follow the path on the right, immediately passing a path on the right. At the Étoile du Silence crossroads, take the second left, Route de la Mare à la Bonde. At the next crossroads, go left then keep right on the second path. Ignore a path on the right.

(9) Cross the Route Royale. Go down to the left. Ignore two paths that branch off to the left. At the end of the climb, turn right.

(10) At Carrefour du Précipice, take Route Dauphine on the left. This road passes under the Normandy motorway. After the tunnel, leave the road by first turning left then right.

(11) At the crossroads, leave the^GR®1by turning left to follow the discovery route. At the next crossroads, go straight ahead. Cross the Joyenval Golf Course.

(12) Stay on the tarmac road past the houses and then along a stone wall. After the gate to the Chataigneraie de Retz, ignore the street on the right. Keep right at the next crossroads. Turn right at the junction. Take the Sente du Grand Champtier on the left, then go up the Sente du Bois Barbeau on the left.

(13) First turn left then right. At the crossroads, turn left, then take the first right. After the car park, cross to the left at the pedestrian crossing and follow the street in the opposite direction. At the roundabout, take the street between the two walls opposite. Cross the square in front of the church, go down the steps towards the town hall and turn left until you reach Rue Chaude.

(14) Go up to the left. Take Grande Rue on the right. At the stop sign, keep to the left. At the crossroads, go straight on to the Bois de la Ferme bus stop.

(15) Continue along Grande Rue. At the end, continue along the dead-end road, Chemin de la Marnière. Leave the two roads on your left.

(16) Follow the lane after the pedestrian crossing. Go straight ahead at the crossroads. Pass the playground. At the end, carefully cross the D30 and turn left into the lane that turns right at the edge of the woods. Ignore the road on the right.

(17) At the end, follow the dead-end road to the left. Go up the steps at the end. Cross the motorway on the bridge and immediately take the path on the left. After the climb, ignore the path on the left. Stay on the edge of the woods, turning right. At the crossroads, go straight ahead. Ignore the path coming from the right. As you enter the woods, keep to the right. Cross a path.

(18) At the end, turn right. Ignore the paths that branch off to the right and left until you reach a crossroads.

(19) Enter Parc de la Bruneterie. Keep the wall and then the fence on your left to find the exit that leads to the end of Rue du Château Rouge (S/E).

Access to the hike:
- By car: park at the end of Rue du Château Rouge in Orgeval. If the car park is full, you can park in Parc de la Bruneterie from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day (park entrance on Rue de Colombet).
- By train and bus: Poissy station: RER A or Transilien line J with Mantes as the terminus (Paris-Saint-Lazare network). From the station, bus line 8 takes you to the Bois de la Ferme bus stop in 15 minutes, where you can start the hike (15). For timetables, visit the Transilien website.

(8) At the Etoile du Silence crossroads, there are two tables.

(S/E) The hike: The circular route from Vernouillet to Parc de la Bruneterie takes you along the^GR®1from Vernouillet to this point.

(4) The hike: From Feucherolles to Saint-Germain-de-la-Grange in a circular route allows you to follow the^GR®1from this point to Saint Germain-de-la Grange.
