As this route was taken during lockdown, it’s a good and interesting option if you want to take a tour of the city in just under an hour – which was exactly what we wanted to do, so it was great

An interesting stroll through the town, featuring 1930s detached houses and green corridors. An easy route to follow through streets that are generally quiet.

Hello Dominique,

What’s the point?… Probably just for the duration of lockdown. I’m well aware that the audience for a hike like this is bound to be small!

Hello Etienne,
How lucky to be able to get about so freely and enjoy an interesting walk lasting about an hour.
Personally, I live in a rather lovely spot (Saint Rémy lès Chevreuse), very close to the Bois de Vossery and the Méridon Forest.
Unfortunately, if I want to go for a refreshing walk within a 1-kilometre radius, I’m limited to a dull loop around the block.
A short route I used to take regularly has now been banned by a prefectural order in the Yvelines.
Still within a 1-kilometre radius, I could walk round the lovely Lac de Beauséjour (closed for works).
I could also take a walk in the Domaine Saint Paul, which is usually open to the public, but here too, access is restricted to staff working there.

Besides, I don’t really see the point in publishing a walk like this that’s only accessible to people living within that one-kilometre radius.
What would become of these walks if all Visorandonneurs users published walks within a one-kilometre radius? Would we then need to create a special ‘Lockdown’ category?
Kind regards,
Dominique
