Car park at the Maison de l'Estuaire (exhibition centre) at Traou Nez in Plourivo.
(S/E) If the stairs at the end of the car park are closed due to slippery steps, leave the car park via the entrance and turn left towards the Maison. Follow the coastal path, taking the right-hand lane that runs closest to the riverbank.
(1) There is no other option: you must enter the tunnel, which is about 100 metres long. At the tunnel exit, take the steps on the left and turn right. Continue along this path, which overlooks the Trieux narrow-gauge railway line.
(2) When you reach the access road to the Coat Ermit lodge, you can take a detour to admire the landscape offered by the river bend. Otherwise, take the path directly opposite. Continue along the railway line until you reach an isolated house, which you will go around via the top of Kerbruc. Turn left after the house and follow the access road.
(3) After a short climb, turn right onto a sunken lane open to horses. Continue along this lane until you reach Penhoat. Take the road on the left and follow it to the Saint-Jean Chapel, which you will see on your right after several stone ruins.
(4) Take the road on the left: this is Rue du Shérif. At the end, turn left until you reach a fork.
(5) At this point, the yellow signpost indicates to turn left. We recommend that, after taking the left road at the fork, you continue straight ahead. Cross a pine forest and you will find the yellow signpost again after a hundred metres. Continue along this forest road.
(6) Turn right at the barrier and then immediately left to walk along the path that continues on from the road. Continue along this path, which has two right-hand bends before reaching an area of peat bogs. Continue along the path that passes under a high-voltage power line and continue through the pine forest.
(7) Turn right and you will see the railway line below you again. Follow the path. When it meets the road, take the sharp left turn onto the fairly steep downhill path. This is a shortcut compared to the road. When it meets the road, continue straight ahead, pass under the stone railway bridge and then take the path on the left to reach the Traou Nez car park (S/E).
