Description of the walk

Start: Large car park at a place called Penn ar Stêr on the Plougastel-Daoulas peninsula.

(S/E) At the exit of the car park, take the road on the right to get to Saint-Gwénolé Chapel and take a left around it. At the fork junction, turn right along a road then bear left to go up to Penn an Neac'h Rozegat.

(1) After passing through the small village where the road ends, continue along the path up to the junction with Four à Chaux road.

(2) Go up the road on the left then take a right to the path leading up to the view point (scenic views).

(3) Go down following the road to the right which goes through the small village of Keramenez where the road ends. Continue along the path winding to the right then go left towards Point Doubidy ou de Rozegad.

(4) Ignore the entrance to this point and take a left along the path that leads to the village of Squiffiec. Go through it and continue along the road that goes down to the shore.

(5) Continue along the shore, following the path to the other end then take a right towards another shore.

(6) Go down to the shore and walk along it until you reach the car park, then continue up the road leading to Kergarvan and then the path leading to Kerlaorans.

(7) Take a right at the end of the path and after 50m, go left at the power transformer to take the path leading to the small village of Runavel. At the end of the path, take a right to pass through the village.

(8) Turn right onto the narrow path between two houses, cross a stream and continue North-East. At the entrance to the small village of La Roche, turn right and then left to pass through the village.

(9) At the end of the village, turn left at the cross to return to the starting point. Be aware that at the end of the path there are two signs; you should take a left to head towards the car park. (S/E)

Hi, this is a lovely, varied walk between land and sea, very pleasant and not very busy.

The description is very good and accurate, thanks to the creator of the route. Unfortunately, the maintenance of the yellow PR markings leaves something to be desired, and some of the markers are buried in the vegetation and cannot be seen. Around viewpoint 2, there are 2 separate but unnumbered circuits, so there is a risk of error and ambiguity if you don't follow the description exactly.

Lovely tour. The IGN map is useful for pinpointing positions, as some places are not easy to find. The route is described as easy. Personally, I consider it to be of medium difficulty, given that some of the climbs and descents are very stony and you need to be careful. The route was completed in dry weather. If it's wet ... more difficult, I suppose.
