Park in the large car park on Rue de l'Abbé Oesterlé in Obernai.
(S/E) Leave the car park and follow the Blue Ring cycle path heading east.
(1) Cross the bridge over the Ehn. Continue on the cycle path heading south then east.
(2) Go under the motorway (tunnel) and continue on the cycle path to the D1422. Continue for about 50 metres on the right.
(3) Cross the road. Enter the village of Niedernai, following the Anneau Bleu signs.
(4) Turn left onto the small path, marked with the Anneau Bleu sign, heading north. Join the main street and continue to the left.
(5) Turn right onto the path marked with the Blue Ring.
(6) Old keep. Continue along the path, first heading east, then south.
(7) Cross the bridge and turn immediately left.
(8) Cross the bridge and continue on the path to the right heading east.
(9) Cross the Am Alten Bach bridge and continue left on the road to the Plon forest, ignoring any intersections.
(10) Turn right and continue along the road until you reach the entrance to the forest, heading west.
(11) Turn left and enter the Plon Forest. Continue straight ahead on the forest path until you reach the exit, heading south-west. Then turn right at the first intersection at the forest exit and continue to the entrance to the village of Niedernai, heading north. At the roundabout, turn left and continue for a few metres.
(12) Turn right immediately into the very small lane, following the Blue Ring signposting heading north.
(13) Turn right into the orchard, following the blue ring signposting northwards.
(4) Turn left heading west and retrace your steps back to the starting point (S/E).
