From Ottrott, before reaching Heiligenstein via the D35, after the roundabout where the D109 meets the D35, in the first bend, to the left of it, a car park is available. This is where the route begins.
(S/E) Take the path “Dorenbergerstraessel”, also marked by a Blue Cross sign.
(1) At the first junction, take the path on your right and continue straight on until you reach a small tarmac road near a bridge.
(2) Turn left onto Route du Stade and you will come to a junction.
(3) Leave the road and follow a path on your left heading north. At the second junction, turn right. You will have a view of Bernardswiller.
(4) Take the tarmac road on your left, which will take you past the village hall and sports grounds at the entrance to Bernardswiller. Cross the small river, the Dachsbach, and continue along Rue de Goxwiller. Turn left into Rue de la Tuilerie and follow it to Rue de la Schwemm, continuing straight on until you reach Rue du Préfet Lezay Marnesia.
(5) Turn left downhill towards Mont Sainte-Odile.
(6) At the wayside shrine, turn left and follow the “Dorenbergerstraessel” path.
(1) Continue straight on until you reach the car park (S/E).
