(S/E) Head towards the town centre, following the Ruisseau de l'Ehn stream to the junction with Rue du Général Gouraud.
(1) Take the stairs and follow the ramparts, marked with red and white rectangles. You will reach Rue de la Montagne, where the markings change to red triangles. Continue to the memorial and its orientation tables.
(2) Descend a long staircase to reach the Red-White-Red Rectangle trail near Hell-Oberkirche Castle.
(3) Turn right and follow the gently uphill path to Ottrott.
(4) Cross the village, following the yellow cross and then blue triangle markings to reach the entrance to the village of Saint-Nabor.
(5) Continue southwards to cross the village and, on leaving it, you will come to a crossroads with several directions.
(6) Leave the blue triangle markings and turn left, now following the blue cross markings. Walk through the Bois d'Urlosenholz forest. At the edge of the forest, carefully turn left onto the D35 for a few metres, then look for a trailhead in the next bend.
(7) Leave the D35 and take the track opposite, marked with a blue cross, walk alongside the vineyards and then reach the village of Bernardswiller.
(8) Cross the village, still following the blue cross, via Rue Sainte-Odile. Pass in front of the town hall, then take Rue des Sœurs and continue right onto Chemin Stadtweg. Turn sharply right to reach the roundabout on the D526.
(9) Turn left onto Rue de Bernardswiller and continue to the junction with Rue du Général Gouraud.
(10) Turn right and continue along this road through the centre of Obernai until you reach the crossroads you passed on the way there.
