The high peaks from Thoiry

Hike accessible from 1 April to 30 November. Set off on a challenging and scenic loop through the peaks of Reculet and Crêt de la Neige, the highest in the Jura mountains. This demanding circuit offers a wide variety of landscapes: Jura forests, open ridges and vast mountain pastures. From the heights, enjoy a 360° panorama of Mont Blanc, Lake Geneva, Geneva and the Valserine Valley.The route crosses the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park and the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve: dogs are not allowed, even on a leash. The Crêt de la Neige loop via La Calame, starting from Crozet

This challenging trail takes you to the highest point of the Jura mountains! It combines woodland, open ridges and superb views of the Lake Geneva basin and Mont Blanc. A beautiful immersion in varied environments, between light and shade. In summer, the Fierney cable car (open on certain days) provides easy access to the route without detracting from the richness of the landscape.
The route runs through the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park and crosses part of the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve. Dogs are not allowed, even on a leash. Please respect the regulations in force to preserve this environment (see the practical information section).
The Lynx route from Crozet

A perfect forest walk for families, combining discovery, observation and learning about nature. A special moment to share, filled with curiosity, relaxation and wonder in the heart of the woods.
This 2.5 km circular themed trail (106 m elevation gain) crosses the forest alongside downhill mountain bike trails — watch out for cyclists! Easy and enjoyable, it is dotted with information panels about the Eurasian lynx, making for an informative and fun outing for the whole family.
Pisse-Vache waterfall from Brenthonne

Starting from the isolated bell tower in Brenthonne, this short hike leads to a beautiful waterfall in the forest. The route offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Geneva. Along the way, you can admire the Château d'Avully, which is open to visitors.
Groisy loop via La Tour and Le Sarnieux

At the foot of the Signal des Voirons and the Col de Cou, a rural loop leads to two beautiful castles, including Avully Castle, which is open to visitors.
La Loge - le Gralet

The Dôle loop starting from Fleutron

A challenging and immersive hike to the summit of La Dôle (1,677 m). From Fleutron, the route alternates between deep forests, open ridges and high-altitude pastures. After crossing the French-Swiss border, you will reach one of the iconic peaks of the Swiss Jura, offering a 360° panorama of Lake Geneva, the Alps and Mont Blanc.
This challenging but spectacular route passes through unspoilt natural areas in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park and the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve. La Faucille - Colomby de Gex - Mont Rond

Je vous propose de réaliser un parcours en boucle au départ des environs du Col de la Faucille (parking du Pailly) afin d’accéder au Colomby de Gex : à l'aller le tracé évolue sous les Monts Jura et au retour sur ses crêtes avec une succession de montées et descentes.
Certaines parties du parcours sont situées en zones de quiétude de la faune sauvage et il ne sera ainsi pas possible de le parcourir du 15/12 au 15/05 (à lire ci dessous)

Mijoux - Les Moussières

The second stage of the 3-day, 2-night Crêts en Combes hiking tour.
Starting from Lélex, this circular route combines the main GTJ route with the alternative route via Mijoux and the Col de la Faucille.
The crossing of the Hautes-Combes jurassiennes, the Valserine valley and the ridges of the Haute Chaine du Jura promise breathtaking landscapes. On one side, the view overlooks the ridges, on the other, Lake Geneva and the Alps. In the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park and partly in the Haute Chaîne Nature Reserve, this hike takes place in a preserved natural area.

From Crêts en Combes to Lélex

The official route of the hike called "De Crêts en Combes depuis Lélex" (From Crests to Valleys from Lélex).
This route is part of the official GTJ (Grande Traversée du Jura) itineraries. This large loop offers a spectacular immersion in the iconic landscapes of the Haut-Jura: crossing the Hautes-Combes, the Valserine valley and the majestic peaks of the Haute Chaîne du Jura. There is little elevation gain and lots of forest for this walk, which is recommended in summer on the Jura plateau.
From Le Manon to Saint-Claude

Sixteenth stage of the Échappée Jurassienne. For this last stage, you will reach Septmoncel before beginning a long descent along the Chemin des Moines to the Gorges du Flumen. Walking along the Flumen, Grosdar and Tacon rivers, you will arrive at Saint-Claude, nestled in the Jura Mountains at the confluence of the Bienne and Tacon rivers.
Saint-Claude is not only the capital of briar pipes: heir to a long tradition of craftsmanship, the town has built a reputation for woodturning and diamond and gemstone cutting. Tucked away at the bottom of its valley, the town stands out for its rugged natural environment and unique heritage attractions, such as Saint-Pierre Cathedral, the Pipe and Diamond Museum, Le Monde des Automates and the Abbey Museum, a hub for lovers of modern art.
