Description of the walk

On the D41 between Cruseilles and Monnetier, go past the Col du Piton and park at the side of the road in a small car park – altitude 1300m.

(S/E) Cross the road, head north-east and follow the signposted route for “Grand Piton” and “La Croisette”.

(1) A little further up, at Les Chavannes, leave the path towards La Croisette and follow theGR® markings to the right through the mountain pastures. Join the road without taking it and stay roughly parallel to it. This will take you to the Col du Piton.

(2) Cross the road and climb for about ten minutes to the summit of the Grand Piton (panoramic views of Geneva and Lake Geneva).

(3) Retrace your steps back to the pass and the road.

(2) Follow the road to the left to return to the car park (S/E).

Hello,
An easy little family walk.
We were practically alone in the world, given that we did this walk on the morning of Monday 26 June 2023.
It’s easy to find the starting point from the car park by checking Google Maps.
A very pleasant route with splendid views.
The Devil’s Cave isn’t particularly interesting.
Thank you.

I couldn’t find the start point…
If I set ‘Go to start’ on Google Maps, it takes me to the cemetery in Archamps. There is a sign with the name of the walk, but no arrows or markings...
Could you please confirm the starting point for me?

Thanks in advance.

Stunning views right from the start, and a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc after the first 200 metres. You can almost see too much as you drive up to the starting point. A lovely, quick outing to round off the day.
