Park in the small car park with around 30 spaces at Le Coin, Route de la Croisette.
(S/E) Leave the car park and follow the path (Chemin d'Orjobet) that starts south-east of the other side of the D45. As you leave the houses, this path becomes a steep, stony trail in the forest. Follow the yellow markings, ignoring the other paths that start off to the left or right; they are not all marked on the map. However, after a good half-hour climb, you will see a path that branches off to the right; this will be the path you take on your return.
(1) Continue along the path. The trail becomes steeper and more winding; steps have been built and a section has been secured with cables to make a tricky passage safer. You will reach the entrance to the Grotte d'Orjobet, where a few signs tell the story of the cave and explain the geological features of the area. Cross the cave via a steep climb, which is also secured by a cable and handrails. At the exit of the cave, continue climbing to reach theGR® "Balcon du Léman".
(2) Turn left towards the Trou de la Tine, which is signposted 10 minutes away. Continue for a few dozen metres on the GR®.
(3) Then take a path that climbs steeply to the right, returning back to the Salève plateau. The route passes close to the Trou de la Tine again, but this time at the upper opening. On the alpine plateau, head north-east to a crossroads at an altitude of 1,277 metres.
(4) Continue to the right, heading east, and you will first come to a marker and then an orientation table near the D41A. Descend onto the road.
(5) Head downhill to the right.
(6) At the end of the first bend on the left, leave the road and take a path on the right. Follow it until you reach the houses, enter the mountain pasture on the right and head towards the pylon (paragliding take-off point).
Then head south-southwest down the mountain pasture until you reach a barrier.
(7) Continue along the path and then along the road. As you descend, pass La Bouillette and, before reaching La Croisette, turn right to cross a large field using a shortcut that will take you to the road leading to Le Coin.
(8) From there, you can descend to the car park via the road, but as this can be tedious, it is better to take the paths that cut across the hairpin bends of the road; these are not all mapped and are not signposted.
So, after reaching the road, walk down a few dozen metres and take a path on the left (large rock in the middle). Immediately turn onto the path on the right, which leads down to the road. Cross the road and take a path opposite, which is very steep at first but rejoins the road and continues opposite on the other side, where it meets the road once last.
(9) Follow this road downhill to the first hairpin bend on the right.
(10) Leave the road and take the clearly visible and marked trail. Return to the initial intersection.
(10) Then turn left and look for an orientation table on the right as you reach the houses. Then return to the car park (S/E).
