Departure from the car park, Rue du Quai

(S/E) Go up Rue du Quai, then turn left, cross the Scarpe river and take the first right, Rue des Prés, and continue straight ahead.

(1) Go straight ahead and continue straight on. In the left-hand bend, leave the road and follow the path that runs alongside a stream, through the forest, then along the edge of the forest, until you reach a street and the intersection with Rue des Tilleuls.

(2) Turn right at the next crossroads, go straight ahead, then take the first left, Rue de l'Église. At the end, turn right and take the first left towards the cemetery.

(3) Pass to the left of the cemetery and head north to the Croix des Écossais.

(4) Turn around and immediately turn left onto Chemin de Bailleul. Continue straight ahead until you reach Rue des Étangs.

(5) Continue straight ahead, cross the D42 and ignore Rue des Écoles on the right until you reach a crossroads.

(6) Leave Rue du retour de Paul Verlaine on your right, continue for 40 metres until you reach another fork in the road

(7) Leave the return road on your right, turn left onto Rue Saint-Hilaire until you reach the bend at no. 41. Keep to the right for about 20 metres.

(8) Take the path on the right and follow the pond on your right. At the end, turn left and join a road. Turn right and pass under the SNCF bridge with caution (no pavement), continue to the crossroads under the high-voltage power line.

(9) Turn right onto the path, then right again and follow the Scarpe river on your left. Pass under the railway lines again. Continue straight ahead, pass the football stadium, then the right-hand bend and continue to the crossroads on the way out.

(7) Turn left for 40 metres and you will come to a fork, which you also passed on the way there.

(6) Turn left onto Rue Paul Verlaine. At the end, turn left and cross the island to reach the lock.

(10) Turn right and follow the Scarpe river on your right until you reach a right-hand bend, about 250 m further on, where you will come to the start of a path.

(11) Turn left to enter the marsh and stay on the left-hand path to pass between the two ponds. At the end, turn right onto Rue de Fampoux and follow it until you reach Feuchy Town Hall.

(12) Turn left onto Avenue des Acaccias, then cross the roundabout and take the second right onto Rue du Petit Bois, then straight on to the end of the road.

(13) Turn right onto Chemin des Fonds and continue to the end.

(14) Turn right onto the D258 and then left onto Rue d'Arras, continue straight ahead until you reach the lock.

(15) Turn left along the canalised Scarpe, straight on to Rue du Marais.

(16) Turn right, then right again onto Rue de la Chapelle. At the end, turn right and return to the starting point (15).

(15) Continue straight ahead, then take Rue du Quai on the right, until you reach the point (S/E).

Please note that between points (1) and (2), the path may be closed during the hunting season from September to early March. Please check in advance. An alternative route is provided after (15): turn left and follow the canal to return to point (10) and turn left.
