Park in front of Fampoux church.
(S/E) With your back to the church, cross the road to take the path opposite leading towards the cemetery.
(1) At the junction after the mast, carry straight on, ignoring the paths to the right and left. Pass the British cemetery and continue along the path through the fields.
(2) Turn left at a right angle when you reach the motorway. Follow the motorway at a distance and ignore a path on the left.
(3) Continue straight on until you reach Athies.
(4) After passing the village hall on the left, turn left towards the roundabout below. Go round it on the right using the pedestrian crossings and continue along the Grand Rue, keeping in the same direction.
(5) At the bend, stay on the right-hand pavement on Rue Pierre Étienne, which later becomes Rue du Marais and ends as a dead-end by the canal.
(6) Follow the canal along the towpath, turning left.
(7) Cross the bridge and turn left to continue along the canal to the lock.
(8) Turn left to cross the two successive bridges, then take the first street on the right, Rue Paul Verlaine. Turn left into Rue des Fours, which leads back up to the starting point (S/E).
