In a beautiful mountain setting, you will climb up to some very interesting mining ruins with a beautiful view of the mountain pastures. The only downside is that two or three sections can become tricky in the rain and even after rain. In dry weather, these sections are not particularly exposed. Access to the car park requires a vehicle with good ground clearance, otherwise add half an hour's walk each way. The end of the descent is not particularly interesting; watch your step...
Still, this hike is recommended.

This walk is very interesting as it gives you a real-life insight into the reality of slate quarrying.

Highly recommended, though please note the following:

Avoid in wet weather >> crossing a slope in a gully and over slate which, in dry weather, poses no difficulties but in wet weather may be problematic.

Access to the car park at the start is via a track (2 km?). 4x4 recommended.

Return via a descent along a difficult stone path :-(

This is a pleasant walk that offers a glimpse into the local heritage through the remains of the slate quarries.
Best done in dry weather as the slate may be slippery
