Rudlin Waterfall

By making a loop from the Étang des Dames, you can quickly reach the Rudlin Waterfall. This is a pretty waterfall about ten metres high, accessible via a path through the woods from the bottom of the valley.

Description of the walk

Start from the car park on the edge of the D23, Chemin du Pont de la Marguerite, at the Étang des Dames.

(S/E) From the car park, head to Impasse de la Cascade du Rudlin and follow it to the right until you reach the next crossroads.

(1) Take the path on the left between the two tarmac roads, walk past a house on your left, pass a turning on the right (towards the inn) and you will arrive at a three-way junction.

(2) Leave the path on the right (return) and continue climbing gradually until you reach a forest track.

(3) Follow it to the right until you reach a path that climbs to the left a few metres before the stream.

(4) Take this path and you will soon arrive at the Rudlin Waterfall.

(5) Return to the track.

(4) Follow it a few metres to the left, then take the path down to the right, before the stream, and reach the edge of the forest. Turn right and follow the edge of the forest until you reach the route you have already taken.

(2) Turn left and follow the route in reverse to return to the car park (S/E).
