Circular route between Hébuterne and Foncquevillers via Gommecourt

Parking available at Hébuterne town hall.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn left onto Rue de la Place and head towards Rue de Sailly.

(1) First turn right then left and walk along the square with the white planters. Walk all the way up Rue du Four to the water tower.

(2) Turn left until you reach the next junction.

(3) Turn right and continue straight on until the end of the road, which leads onto Route de Foncquevillers (D3)

(4) Cross it carefully and take the small path slightly to the right. Follow it to a crossroads.

(5) Turn right towards the Ferme de la Haye and continue along the path to the Route de Souastre (D6).

(6) Cross it carefully and continue straight on until you reach the first path on the right. Turn onto this path and follow it to a stretch of road.

(7) Turn left and continue until you reach the third path on the right.

(8) Take this path, which joins the Chemin des Soldats.

(9) Turn right, cross Rue Bacon and pass in front of the Military Cemetery. Continue to the D6.

(10) First turn right then left to cross it carefully, then turn left into Rue des Processions, which joins Petite Rue de Sailly; follow this to the left until you reach Rue d’Hébuterne.

(11) Turn right onto it, then, at a fork, take the first street on the left, Rue Bacquiot, and continue along the small path to the next junction.

(12) Turn right onto the small path which branches off to the left and passes in front of the Bois de Gommecourt before reaching the village.

(13) Turn right into Rue de la Chapelle, pass the church and the town hall, and arrive at Rue d’Hébuterne.

(14) Turn right onto this street, walk along the Bois de Gommecourt and arrive at the entrance to Hébuterne, Rue de Foncquevillers.

(15) Follow this street to the left until you reach the town hall (S/E).
