The final part of the ascent takes place in open country, amidst a rugged, rocky landscape that feels almost timeless. At the summit of Costebelle, a breathtaking 360° view awaits you. Take a deep breath and treat your lungs to a real breath of fresh air.

Les Cloches de Barles is no piece of cake to climb! Reaching the summit is like climbing to the top of a layer cake: you have to work up a sweat to earn your cherry. But once you're up there, it's a feast for the eyes. And to get back down, hop, a little bucolic stroll in picture-postcard style, between the Cabane des Prés and the Sommet de Chine, with dancing flowers and smiling meadows. In short, a real fairy tale hiking experience!
