Departure from the car park at the bottom of the village, between the D1 and the Torrent le Sasse.
(S/E) From the small car park along the road, head back towards the south-west to cross the bridge and find the path that branches off to the right immediately afterwards.
(1) Turn right immediately after the bridge. The path runs alongside the Torrent de Vermeil and quickly joins a dirt road that continues into the Vermeil valley. You will also notice numerous targets belonging to the local archery club.
(2) The path branches off to the right, leading into pleasant woodland, and becomes narrower. It continues to run alongside the stream in the Sagnières ravine and passes a small dam. Continue along the path, after a slightly steeper section, and descend into a small clearing.
(3) Cross the clearing, where you may encounter some semi-wild horses. At the end, you will find a small two-arched aqueduct made of tuff stone. Cross it to continue on your way. The path veers to the right just after the aqueduct, then heads north-east after a few metres, running alongside Les Sagnières (marshes and rose gardens).
(4) Join the dirt road that runs alongside a field until you reach a small tarmac road. Turn right to descend towards the valley.
(5) After about 750 m on the road, in a left-hand bend, follow the path on the right. Head back into the vegetation and climb gradually until you reach the ridge. Follow it until you arrive above the village of Clamensane.
(6) After the "talking rock", which tells the story of a hunter who killed a wolf cub for no reason, the path descends rather steeply towards the pretty village, which you will cross to reach the car park (S/E).
