From Superbagnères to Pic du Céciré via the new route
Climbing the 2,404 metres of Céciré is always a great experience, as the view from the summit is breathtaking, but part ofthe GR® 10 route to reach it is very dangerous and prone to accidents. Fortunately, to continue enjoying this classic route, I suggest taking the new, saferGR® 10 route.

Tour of the barns and huts of Artigue, making a large circular loop through the summer pastures via the PR® and GR®10 trails. Pass through Plan de Montmajou and the border markers to Col des Taons de Bacanère. The return journey takes you past two huts and the Cigalère State Forest. A very pleasant hike in the gentle autumn sunshine with beautiful views of the peaks and 3,000-metre summits of the Luchonnais, sometimes whitened by the first snows.

A good sense of direction, a GPX track and a map are strongly recommended.
Lac Vert loop via the Coume hut
This is a beautiful hike during which you will discover stunning waterfalls, a beautiful view of the Luchonnais region and, the highlight of the show, the green waters of the lake of the same name. However, due to its elevation, length and a few tricky sections, this route requires a good level of fitness.
Cap des Arjoulents
Snowshoe hike starting from the village of Oô.
11 km of fun, through forests, past cabins and viewpoints.
This is a little-used route, ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet and want to enjoy nature. With a bit of luck, you may encounter a few deer who, like us, have come to enjoy the incomparable silence.

Starting from Les Granges d'Astau, there is a long climb with some steep sections, made more pleasant by the presence of several lakes. Lac d'Oô and its inn, and Lac d'Espingo in its magnificent setting are ideal places to stop for a break. After Lac du Saussat (pronounced Sa-ou-sat), the much smaller Lac de la Coume de l'Abesque marks the start of the steep, winding climb that leads to a plateau dotted with smooth rocks and small lakes, and then to the Jean Arlaud refuge.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hikes in the Pyrenees. The climb is long and difficult, but the panoramic views will make you forget your aching legs. Once past the azure blue Boums du Port, the Port de Venasque fault offers the most beautiful balcony overlooking the Maladeta and its lord, the Aneto.
