Description of the walk

Park in the Place de la mairie car park.

(S/E) At the end of the parking lot, turn right. After the white house marked with an "i" and the sign "Accueil", turn right, then left. At the crossroads, turn right into the Grand Rue and cross the bridge over the Rivière de la Laquette.

(1) Leave the street on your right, which you will use on your return, and continue for about 250m.

(2) Turn left into Rue du Moulin and cross the bridge over the Laquette. Leave Rue du Moulin, which curves to the right, and continue along the footpath (south-west). Turn left into Rue de Reclinghem. At the crossroads, turn right to follow Chemin de Rupigny for 500m. Then take the first left onto Rue Notre-Dame du Quesnes.

(3) At the top of the street, turn left into Rue des Pervenches to join Grand Rue. Turn right, leaving Rue Courtin on your left. At the crossroads, turn left into the little road, Rue Butaille, to join Rue des Marais.

(4) Turn right and go straight on for 20m to find, just after the pond and on the left, the Laquette spring, also known as Fontaine Sainte-Frévisse, named after Sainte-Frévisse, whose statue and life story are on display.

(5) Return along Rue des Marais for 150m. Just after the farm, take the path on the right, going under the trees for 300m. Come out on the edge of a small, little-used road. Turn left towards the woods. This road bends to the left and comes to a crossroads.

(6) Go left for a few hundred metres to see the château. Retrace your steps back to the previous crossroads and continue straight ahead on the path, which climbs steeply and meanders. At the calvary at the top, turn left and go straight ahead on the forest track for 300m.

At the start of the bend, forget the right-hand path and turn left, joining Rue du Rietz. Cross the road and turn left into Rue de l'Eau des Cannes, then left again into Grand Rue.

(1) Turn left over the bridge over the Rivière de Groeuppe, and at the bend in the road, take the path opposite the château. Turn right into Rue du Château to reach Place de la Mairie (S/E).

Fontaine Sainte-Frévisse: she wanted to take holy orders from an early age. Several princes asked her to marry them. She had to flee to avoid being forced into marriage.

Lovely walk through this beautiful village. There are tables under the trees at the fountain If you're feeling a bit hungry, there's a nice little bakery next to the château. For those who are unsure about the farm (point 5), you need to walk along the farm, which is not private.

very accessible walk with children, a bit too much tarmac though, sometimes difficult not to make a mistake, some paths (at least two) are difficult to spot or interpret, we had to be put back on our route at least once.
the whole section under the trees was more peaceful and pleasant....

Waypoint: at point 5: just after the farm, take the path on the right ..... (we didn't find this path). Apart from that, it's a nice little walk, pleasant and easy.

A lovely, easy and pleasant walk ;-)
There are a few shady paths along the way, under the woods (squirrels can also be seen) and picnic tables....
A must-do with the kids!

One small problem at the end: I couldn't find the famous "winding" path.

Hello, the route is very good, but it's a shame that it's very poorly explained, there are lots of mistakes on the route, the directions aren't simple in the descriptions, it's all a blur.
