Park in the small car park at Hundseck, at the foot of the Lift2 cable car. You can also use the large car park located just nearby
(S/E) Cross the road and take the middle path, which leads downhill. This will take you to the Gertelbach Waterfall.
(1) Walk alongside it, taking care to step over the tributaries. Also take care when walking on some of the wet stones. You’ll soon reach a small mountain hut.
(2) Continue downhill along the Kapellenweg path until you reach a confluence of streams.
(3) Turn right and start the climb running parallel to the left bank of the Wiedenbach stream. You’ll come to a wider road at a hairpin bend.
(4) Turn right onto it and carry on until you reach another hairpin bend. At the end of this bend, you’ll find a small flight of steps to the left of the road.
(5) Take these steps and continue along this path, running parallel to the road, to reach the Wiedenbach waterfalls.
(6) Cross the Wiedenbach stream and carry on until you reach the junction with the Kapellenweg path.
(7) Turn right onto this path and continue, slightly uphill, to reach the Sand junction.
(8) Take care when crossing the junction here; you’ll need to be patient and wait for the go-ahead to cross.
Opposite, take the Westweg path, which runs parallel to the road, and head for the Hundseck car park (S/E).
