Route slightly modified, description revised and corrected. This is a lovely, easy route that allows you to admire around sixty ponds. Information boards help you discover and understand how these ponds were formed and are used. Much of the route is on small paved roads. This route is partly based on signposts in the field, so be sure to follow the description carefully.

A hike through the forest towards Chaume Balveurche. Along the way, you can admire the view of the Longemer valley from the Roche Boulard shelter. A short round trip to Belle Roche offers a panoramic view of Lake Retournemer. The Irénée Duvoid crossroads is a nice spot to rest and relax. Finally, you can admire the Belbriette stream in its green setting, which is particularly pretty in autumn.

Bouxières-aux-Dames, from the top of its hill, overlooks the A31 motorway.Rich in surprising and bucolic listed sites, come and discover the small heritage of this commune, which recalls the life and beliefs of our ancestors.Just 15 km north of Nancy, this area is well worth exploring.The banks of the Étang de Mérrey and the lawn offer peace and greenery, perfect for a short break. This circuit will introduce you to an industrial and urban area of Lorraine that has been recognised as a historic monument and protected heritage site since 2014. You will also follow the Marne-Rhine Canal and six of its former locks, now replaced by a single lock known as "la grande écluse" (the big lock). A bucolic walk that combines wooded and aquatic environments.

NEW ROUTE Mostly in the Haye forest near Nancy, this route partly uses unmarked but perfectly passable trails. Follow the instructions as you go along. After the Second World War, the site was home to an air base, used for 15 years by the US Army, as evidenced by the old concrete paths and buildings. During the tour, you will also discover a memorial to the Resistance during World War II.

A lovely walk, partly in the shade and partly in the sun, which will take you to the edge of the Étang de Brin in its forest setting. A birdwatching hide will allow you to discover the wildlife that lives around the lake. A pair of binoculars may prove very useful.

A few viewpoints and the discovery of a geological curiosity. A variant without the climb to the Tête de Nayemont reduces the route to 13 km and 240 m of elevation gain (see description). Important: following comments received, the route of this hike has been modified to avoid paths that have disappeared into the vegetation. This hike includes a paved section at the beginning and end of the route, as well as a few forest roads that cannot be avoided.

A lovely walk with plenty of points of interest, including Pont Tatal with its climbing and bungee jumping site, and Froideval Abbey set in lush green surroundings. Many other points of interest await you along the route.

This hike is located near the Côtes de Toul vineyards. You will discover the old Fort de Charmes-la-Côte and many vestiges of the past. Pretty tags created by a local graphic designer add to the charm of this hike. The paths and trails are easy to follow and present no danger. However, do not stray from the paths, as there are still many hazards in the undergrowth linked to the activity of the forts. Keep an eye on children and keep dogs on a leash.

A lovely walk through vineyards and orchards, with beautiful views of the Lorraine vineyards and the chance to discover typical Lorraine villages and their unique characteristics. No particular difficulty, walking on good paths There are many trails and signposts in this region, but this route does not follow any particular signposting. It is therefore advisable to follow the description and map or GPS route carefully.

A lovely walk, offering remarkable views over the Mouzon valley. The route is straightforward for the majority of the walk. The only slightly technical sections requiring your attention are: - Near the landmark (3), the stony descent towards the Grotte de l’Enfer, - After the waypoint (8), the descent down the rudimentary staircase, facing the drop, is a little dizzying.

A landscape of woodland and farmland, springs and fountains, old forts, as well as a view of the Euville quarry. A short sensory trail has been added along the path at point 10 A rest area, as idyllic as you could wish for, near the Gévaux chapel, or in the tranquillity of the Noblanvau valley: lovely picnic areas at both these points. Starting from the pretty village of Grandrupt-de-Bains with its beautiful old houses, this hike will take you to a place where the Resistance fighters lived and trained in August and September 1944, but above all a place of remembrance. You will also discover: petroglyph rocks, boundary stones bearing coats of arms, ponds, picnic and rest areas and views of the Vosges mountains. A few sections on the road allow us to pass through forests, meadows and farmland, as well as rural areas.
