Departure from Triembach-au-Val, on the square in front of the town hall and the school. Parking is available nearby in the village hall car park (Rue Saint-Gilles).
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn right onto Rue des Guerriers, which climbs past the school.
(1) At the top of this street, you will come to a Y-shaped crossroads decorated with a cross. Turn right (blue signpost) onto a fairly steep grassy path. At the top, turn right onto a path leading into the forest.
Further on, the path turns left at the edge of a meadow, then turn left (red ring markings). Then turn right to pass in front of an antenna.
At the next junction, continue straight ahead (red ring) and enjoy the unobstructed view of Villé.
(2) At the next junction, turn sharply right (marked with a red cross). Go through a gate and continue along the main path for about 200 metres until you reach the next intersection.
(3) Turn left towards Albé, following the blue easel and red disc markings. Ignore the turnings on the right and left to reach Albé via the heights. Beautiful view of the vineyards. Continue on the right along the main street, Rue de l'Erlenbach, towards the church and go to Vins Barthel.
(4) Turn left onto Rue de l'Église, following the red signposts, and cross the bridge over the Erlenbach river. Then turn immediately right onto Rue du Baechling, towards "Chemin des Ânes". At the last houses, turn left (red signpost). Continue along the forest path, which climbs for a long time, until you reach Sohlkreuz (bench + cross), where you can enjoy another beautiful view of the Albé vineyards.
(5) Continue straight ahead, then follow the Chevalet Rouge markings downhill towards Breitenbach. (Ignore the red-white-red rectangle markings that lead to Villé via Chemin des Ânes)
(6) At the edge of the forest, continue straight ahead to make a round trip to a cross and enjoy a beautiful view of Breitenbach.
(7) Return to the fork with the bench and the shed.
(6) Turn right onto the Anneau Rouge trail, which runs flat through the orchards above Breitenbach.
(8) At the hairpin bend with a bench called "Banc des Retraités", continue straight ahead, following the Yellow Cross and Red Disc markings, along the "Sentier de l'Exilé Volontaire" (Path of the Voluntary Exile). You will arrive at the Grotte de la Vierge (Virgin's Cave).
(9) Take the path under the cave that runs along the river. Arrive at Saint-Martin via Rue de la Grotte, continue downhill via Rue du Moulin, then turn left onto the main street until you reach the crossroads at the Freppel bar.
(10) Turn right along the departmental road to the Renault garage, then turn left downhill towards the technical inspection centre. Continue past Château Honcourt. After the château, turn slightly right uphill to make a circular in the forest.
(11) When you reach the forest road, turn left, following the red disc markings towards Villé. Stay on this track, ignoring all the paths on either side, and exit the forest at the sports centre and secondary school.
(12) Turn left above the secondary school car park and pass under the primary school (cycle path). Follow the River Giessen to Crédit Mutuel, then cross the main road (Rue Louis Pasteur), first turn left then right to cross the bridge. Continue along the Giessen and head towards Intersport (Place de l'Ancienne Gare).
(13) Cross the departmental road, go up opposite and then slightly to the right via Rue du Soleil. At the end of the housing estate, take the path on the bottom right which leads back to Rue des Guerriers in Triembach-au-Val (S/E).
