Notes

This route starts and ends in Apt, which is served by Zou buses and offers a wide range of facilities: accommodation, restaurants, shops, etc.

Accommodation is available on the evening of each stage, but in Sivergues (first stage) and Vitrolles (second stage), only one option has been identified. Replenishment is only possible in Apt and Céreste. For further details, see the descriptions of the individual stages.

Apart from a few unmarked sections, the route mainly follows the GRP® Luberon-Monts de Vaucluse, the GR®9, the GR®4, the GR®653D and various PR® trails. The density of signposting varies along the entire route.

The route takes in stony paths and tracks, DFCI (Forest Fire Protection) tracks and small roads, in varying proportions from one stage to the next.

The route alternates between shaded and open areas. Consequently, it is necessary to carry sufficient water and suitable sun protection.

Optional extension:
From Vitrolles, it is possible to do a circular hike to visit the beautiful village of La Bastide-des-Jourdans: follow the hike “Discovering the heritage of La Bastide-des-Jourdans from Vitrolles”. This involves spending two nights in Vitrolles.

Hike completed by the author, including the extension, from 20 to 24 April 2026.
