Access: Cross Apt towards Digne on the D900 and shortly after the Intermarché, take the car park of the Madeleine retirement home.
(S/E) Cross the road and start the walk on Rue de la Halte. At the end of the street, turn right onto Rue Albert Camus, cross the Saint-Joseph residence and join the D48, which you take on the left. Continue on the D48 untilthe first junction on the left
(1) Take this small dead-end road on the left (Chemin de l'Auriane) to the end. It continues straight ahead along a beautiful paved slanting street, which you follow to the end. Turn left onto a small tarmac road and continue straight ahead until the end of the tarmac.
(2) Follow the paved slanting street slightly to the right, which climbs straight ahead, ignoring the turnings on the left and right. The path ends at the foot of the Rocher de Saignon, on the road.
(3) Take the road on the right and continue until you reach the crossroads between the road leading to the village and the road leading down to Apt. Follow the road to Apt on the right and continue straight down to Chemin de Saint-Michel. Turn left onto this small road which climbs opposite Saignon, offering beautiful views of the village. Continue straight ahead on Chemin Saint-Michel until you reach a path on the left marked in yellow and red (GRP®).
(4) Take this path on the left and continue straight ahead. Beautiful views of Apt and Mont Ventoux. The path ends on Route de Rocsalière.
(5) At the hamlet of Rocsalière, cross the road and take the path that descends almost opposite towards the Rocher des Druides. Cross a small river over a metal bridge and continue along the path that climbs up the other side. On the left side of the path are the ruins of a hamlet called Rocher des Druides. Take the time to stop there if you are unfamiliar with it. Then continue along the path, still marked in yellow and red, which leads to a large track.
(6) Continue right on the wide track until you reach the next crossroads. There, leave the tarmac road and take the path that continues opposite. At thefirst junction, take the right fork and continue straight ahead. Leave the next fork on the left and continue until you reach a small road, which you take straight ahead until you reach a large bend.
(7) Take the path on the left that goes straight ahead and continue along it, following theGR® country markings. Continue along this path until you reach Chemin de Saint-Vincent, which you take straight ahead. After two bends, leave Chemin Saint-Vincent and continue straight ahead along the path that avoids a large bend.
(8) Cross Chemin René Char and continue straight ahead until you reach Avenue des Druides, which you take to the left. At the end of Avenue des Druides, turn right onto Boulevard Camille Pelletan, then left onto Boulevard Elzear Pin and immediately right onto Rue du Professeur Henri.
(9) Cross Avenue de Saignon and take Rue des Monts de Vaucluse opposite. Shortly afterwards, turn right onto Avenue de Verdun, which continues onto Rue Bir Hakeim, which finally leads to Rue de la Halte. At the end of Rue de la Halte, cross the D900 and head for the Madeleine car park (S/E).
