Description of the walk

Departure from Damahütte.

(S) Descend via the same path as on the ascent. You will reach a fork.

(1) At the "Panorama" sign, turn right (the outward route came from the left) to find yourself in a huge glacial cirque. Follow the tracks first south, then east-northeast to a small bridge.

(2) Then turn left (do not cross the stream). Take a few passages equipped with chains. Descend through the bushes and scree (beware of falling rocks). Then walk north to reach the western end of the lake. Cross a small bridge over the stream and climb up to a fork.

(3) Turn right (east). Follow the path uphill with a view of the lake on your right.

(4) At the fork, go up to the left and continue east.

(5) At the intersection, continue straight ahead (left, uphill towards Bergseehütte). Descend the switchbacks to reach the hotel car park (E).
