Circular walk from the Étang des Filatures

Park in the Étang des Filatures car park.

(S/E) On leaving the car park, turn left onto the D10 (take care) and, a few dozen metres past the large white house, turn left then immediately right to follow the Reins stream. Gradually move away from the stream, staying on the road and turning left twice. After a hairpin bend, you’ll reach the junction with a stony track.

(1) Turn left onto this path and begin a fairly steep climb. You’ll reach the junction with a road leading to the village of Les Fouilloux.

(2) Continue straight ahead along the track, enter a woodland, and keep left at the following path junctions to reach the Black Drop Ruisseau.

(3) Cross the stream and continue through the woods until you reach the D108 road.

(4) Turn right onto it for about a hundred metres (take care), then turn left to cross Les Roux, and carry on until you rejoin the D108. You’ll soon come to another junction near the hamlet of Jovin.

(5) At the house, turn left onto the path below leading to Les Chaudures, then turn right onto the tarmac road. After a hairpin bend, you’ll rejoin the D108.

(6) Follow it downhill (take care). Turn left at the group of houses known as Le Mât, and head down to Rue de Thizy (D9).

(7) Follow this road to the left and, after about a hundred metres, turn left and continue along Rue de la Creuse (still the D9). Pass by the foot of a cross, continue along the road and go through the hamlet of La Goutte. Ignore a dead-end on the right.

(8) Shortly afterwards, leave the road and turn right onto a track towards La Bruchevalière. At the end of the track, continue along Impasse de la Bruchevalière and rejoin the D9.

(9) Cross the D9 and carry on straight ahead past the Deveaux factory. Pass through the hamlet of La Tuilière and continue to the bridge over the Reins.

(10) Do not cross the Reins but carry on straight ahead, following the river, to quickly reach the Étang des Filatures car park (S/E).
