Between marsh and pasture around Fretin
A hike that begins by circling the Marais de Péronne, then moves on to the hamlet of Maresqueldes and ends at the Marais du Warlet. This loop offers diverse landscapes, between water (the Marque (stream), marsh, pond), and fields and pastures. It runs alongside two small roads, otherwise it's all on footpaths.On the program: observation of marsh birds, fish in a fishing pond and a variety of native wildlife.
From Fretin to Sainghin-en-Mélantois, along the Marque
A circular loop that is almost a round trip, passing from the Warlet Marshes (Fretin) to the Bonance Marshes (Péronne-en-Mélantois) and arriving at the Bois de la Noyelle (Sainghin-en-Mélantois) along the Marque.You will walk along well-maintained paths and quiet roads through the woods and along the marshes. In the right season, you can observe the flora and fauna as well as an impressive willow sculpture (Eldorado Lille 3000 Festival). Crossing of two busy roads.
The Fretin and Bonnance marshes
Hike between footpaths, marshes and woods, from Fretin to the Bonnance Marshes via the Warlet Marsh.
This hike is best enjoyed with a pair of binoculars. You will find several birdwatching huts along the way.
Between Cobrieux and Bachy
A pleasant stroll across the plain between the villages of Bachy and Cobrieux, just a stone's throw from the Franco-Belgian border.
Around Fretin and Avelin
A walk that can be enjoyed in wet weather, with little mud and very quiet roads.As you leave Pont Thibault, you'll come to the cobblestones of the same name. They are used by the Paris-Roubaix cyclists in early April.

A beautiful, varied and very natural route, especially the last 7 km.You can visit the church at Bouvines, with its stained-glass windows recounting the battle of the same name, the outcome of which contributed to the creation of France.

Cross-border trail - Bachy Rumes Bachy
A walk between France and Belgium in the Pévèle and Hainaut plains. This trail crosses the path of Monique, a Resistance fighter who evacuated Allied pilots who had fallen during the war. It also gives an idea of the work of the customs officers who guarded this border and the tricks that smugglers could use to thwart their surveillance.

Around Bachy
This route between the Bachy plain and the Belgian border allows you to discover Mont Saint-Aubert in Belgium. You will discover part of the route used by "Monique", a member of the Resistance who helped airmen escape between France and the town of Rumegies in Belgium.

Around the golf course, slag heap and Leforest lake
This hike from Moncheaux passes by the Thumeries golf course, slag heap 122, Leforest lake, and then the greenway. It is fairly shaded, especially in the first part.
Moncheaux barren lands route
This circular allows you to admire the rich natural landscapes and mining heritage of the region. During this walk in the great outdoors, you will follow "les cavaliers", the old railway tracks of the Compagnie des Mines that connected all the mine shafts and slag heaps in the region when mining was in full swing. An excursion combining nature and history, to be discovered without delay!
Match carriers in the Offlarde woods
There is nothing monotonous about this route: you run or walk across a huge site, skirting an agricultural area here, old paths lined with sweet peas and wild blackberries there, sheltered by undergrowth or alongside a large pond.
And without even noticing, you arrive at the foot of the old conical slag heap on the border between Nord and Pas-de-Calais.
To reach the top, it takes a little more effort, but it's worth it because once you're at the top, the view is exceptional!
The 108 and 122 slag heaps in Leforest and Ostricourt
This route will first take you through the Offlarde and Phalempin forests. The landscape then becomes more lunar as you skirt around slag heap 108 and climb slag heap 122 (viewpoint over the mining basin).
