Note: This circular route passes by almost all the car parks in the forest. You can therefore start it from your own parking spot.
For this route, park at the junction of Rue du Bon Ballon and Rue des Fusillés.
(S/E) Head south along Chemin de l'Abbé. At the Laie de Poiteaux junction, join theGR®121marked in red and white. Continue straight ahead on thisGR®. Pass the Chemin de l'Oiseau junction, carry on and reach thesecond path junction.
(1) Leave theGR® here and take a straight path to the left. You will reach a car park at the side of a road.
(2) Cross the car park, taking care of the road. Take the path straight ahead. After the car park, you will soon reach a junction. Turn left and continue until you reach Laie des Queues de Tilloy. Turn left here and you will soon rejoin theGR®121. You will reach another car park.
(3) Leave theGR® here again and continue straight ahead into Laie des Rouges Prés. You’ll reach a right-angled junction with Laie de la Batellerie.
(4) Turn left here and continue along a new straight section to reach the junction with the road.
(5) Cross the road and walk to the junction with Rue des Fusillés.
(6) Here you have two options:
- either take the path on the left which, through the woods, joins the Chemin Vicinal du Bon Ballon; turn right onto this path to return to the starting car park (S/E),
- or turn left onto Rue des Fusillés to also return to the car park where you started (S/E).
